Better Claim was created from a deep commitment to fairness and advocacy. With a background as a financial adviser before transitioning to an NDIS support worker, I witnessed firsthand the struggles people face when they can no longer work due to illness or injury.
One experience stood out: Victoria was assisting a client who, due to a debilitating condition, could no longer work. The client, overwhelmed and unaware of her entitlements, reached out to her superannuation fund in desperation. Without any professional guidance, she requested to cancel her insurance, worried about the fees, as she would no longer have an income and would not be able to work again.
The fund cancelled her insurance without a single mention that she could be entitled to a life-changing Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) payout. This shocking oversight left her entirely unaware of her rights, leaving Victoria appalled by the lack of communication and support.

The other issue was that the only support available to clients came with high fees and inadequate assistance. There had to be a better way! A transparent, compassionate service that empowers clients during their most vulnerable moments.
Partnering with Sophie, an ethical lawyer who shared this vision, they founded Better Claim to guide clients through TPD, death, terminal illness, and income protection claims.
